Welcome to the West Virginia State Society

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution

A message from our Regent,

Welcome to the West Virginia Daughters of the American website!  I bring greetings from the nearly 1,800 West Virginia Daughters who live, work, and enjoy our beautiful Wild & Wonderful state!  We hope you will find this website informative and helpful in your search.  Please do not hesitate to contact any of the State Officers or Chapters for assistance.

I am honored to serve as the State Regent and express how extremely proud I am of the dedicated West Virginia Daughters.  The West Virginia State Society enthusiastically supports the objectives of our National Society in the promotion of Education, Patriotism, and Historic Preservation within our communities in service to God, Home and Country.

“Celebrating-DAR to the CORE!” is the theme for this 2013-2016 Administration.  I chose the apple as the symbol for the term for many reasons, but one of those reasons is the fact that when an apple is cut across through the CORE one will find a star!

DAR to the Core

Each of the WVDAR members shines bright as a star as they continue to be Dedicated, Active and Resourceful to the CORE!  They work hard to make the DAR programs so successful and believe to their very Core in what DAR has accomplished in the past and what they will strive to do as they remain dedicated, active and resourceful in carrying out projects to their completion!  They endeavor to honor the people, places and ideals of West Virginia that contribute to making our State truly “Almost Heaven”!

We welcome your questions and appreciate your visit to our website.

Celebrating-DAR to the Core!,

Barby
