A portrait of Hallie Davis Elkins, wife of Senator Stephen B. Elkins, one of the founders of Elkins, hangs in her former home, Halliehurst, on the Davis & Elkins College campus.  This mansion is often used for meetings, receptions, and parties and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
